Meet the Doctor

Dr. Sheldon Small is a Prosthodontist specializing in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.  He attended Columbia University Dental School and graduated in 1982.  He continued his dental education with a general practice residency at Peninsula General Hospital, and his postdoctorate training in Prosthodontics at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.  Dr. Small completed his formal educational training with a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York.

     Dr. Small is currently an attending in the Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center, where he has been on staff since 1988.  Dr. Small is a member of the First District Dental Society,  the New York State Dental Association,  American Dental Association and the American College of Prosthodontists.

     Dr. Small's reputation as a knowledgeable, understanding, caring and gentle dentist has helped his practice grow and flourish.  He keeps current with the latest technologies and advances in dentistry through continuing education courses and interactions with other healthcare professionals at various dental organizations.  He has been in the forefront of these technological advances by being among the first to incorporate digital x-rays and images into his daily practice.
